Insuring During the United States’ Right of Redemption

Unless the United States has released their right of redemption, an exception on any commitment or policy issued during the United States’ redemption period must be made as follows:

 

“Rights of the United States to redeem subject property within the period of (‘120 days’ or ‘insert the period of time permitted junior lienors to redeem under local law’) from the date of the foreclosure sale of the deed of trust or mortgage recorded in Book ____ at Page _____. Said sale having taken

place on _____________________”.
