Reversionary Clauses

Reversionary Clauses: Overview

A reversionary clause serves to protect the interest of the person or entity making a restrictions on property and, in the event of a violation of such restrictions, title to the property subject to such violation may revert back to the reversionary party. Whenever a reversionary clause exists it must be set out as an exception to title, unless it has been properly released through a deed expressly stating such purpose and intention.
